![]() ![]() Overall, Snagit for Mac is a great tool for taking quick screen grabs and offers plenty of options for adding a long list of specialized graphics and effects. You won't get screen-cast videos, for example, and you can't setup tags for images for easy searching in the Mac version.īut TechSmith says more features are coming soon. Snagit for Mac has a number of great options for calling out specific parts of images, but it's still a bit behind the Windows version. Now, you'll be able to add stylized edges, borders, and shadows to your image, or even use the Perspective or Reflection options for a more 3D effect. To add a special flair to your capture, click on the Effects tab. Or, you can add shapes, pen lines, highlighters, or even blur effects to block out other elements. Or, you can add a speech balloon and type in pertinent information and add a tail to point to a screen element.įrom there, you can add tiny graphics called "stamps" to liven up the capture. To add callouts to your screen shot, use the Tools tab and select an arrow to point out a screen element. This second element of the interface is where most of the action happens, with a viewing area on the left, tools on the right, and a place to browse past screen captures on the bottom. Once you've taken your screen shot, your image will open up in the Snagit Editor. Hit the arrow at the bottom of the screen to take a shot of an entire webpage, for example. You'll be able to take a regular screen shot or you can choose all-in-one to get on-screen options for other types of captures. Whether you're on a webpage or working on a program, you can simply mouse over the tab to bring up some quick controls.
